About The Artist
This is my self-written short biography.

My name is Cassie Jahn and I’m the owner of Drowning Arts. I love to do
artwork of all kinds. I draw, paint, sculpt, play music, and sometimes write. I do
everything I can think of that is artistic!

I was raised in a small town, Clinton, Iowa, but I always liked it. My family consists
of; My dad (Glen Jahn), My mom (Lisa Jahn), My brother (Jack Boser), and my sister
(Amber Dietz).

I was in public schools until sixth grade when my mom took me out to be
homeschooled. I was duel-enrolled which meant I could take certain classes at school
like orchestra and art. So of course I did. I have been in orchestra since I was about
eight or nine playing the cello and I love it!

At the end of sixth grade my dad was in a car accident. He is now permanently
disabled, but at least he is still alive.

I got my first job at eleven doing a paper route and babysitting. Babysitting became
my love. That’s when I decided that I wanted to own a daycare when I am older.

When I turned thirteen and had already quit the paper job and the kids had gotten
older I got a real (or more real) job at a
church. I’ve been there ever since. I do
Wednesday Early Out as a guide and I am the Nursery Assistant during church
services and other church related things. This job was probably one of the best
things that ever happened to me. It kept me going during the hardest parts of my
life and I have made tons of good friends because of it.

I also now babysit for a few families around the area because of that job.

I graduated high school at 15 and a great friend of mine (Heather) threw me a
graduation party. After I graduated I began my college work which is what I am still
doing right now.

I am majoring in Early Childhood Education through PennFoster and minoring in Art
through Stratford.

I began mentoring not long ago in a program called Study Connection too and am
pretty happy with how that is going.

I started this website on March 4th, 2007 and I’m hoping to keep it going for as
long as possible!
